Corporate Account or BCD#
If youre a member of an organisation or company that partners with Budget, that organisation may have Direct PIN, OTTO or ACTO number. Add this number into the field shown.
A BCD (Budget Customer discount promotion code) is a 7 character code used for special offers that may be found in a variety of places in advertisements, on our deals page or emailed to you as part of our special E-newsletter offers. Enter the BCD into the BCD field; remember to check any terms and conditions applicable to the offer before you enter the BCD number.
Frequent Flyer or flybuys member
If you are a Frequent Flyer member of flybuys member you may earn points on your rental charges, select the program you are a member of and enter your membership number and we will automatically credit your frequent flyer of flybuys membership with the applicable points after your rental has been completed.
Motoring Association member
If you are a member of an Australian motoring association you may be eligible to receive discounted rates from Budget. Please enter your membership number in this field.
Coupon or Discount number
Coupon or Discount numbers may be found in a variety of places in advertisements, on our deals page or emailed to you as part of our special E-newsletter offers. Enter the coupon number in the coupon/discount field. The value of the coupon will be attached to your reservation for reference. It will not be applied to the rental until you pick up the vehicle.
Enter your travel agency IATA or Budget assigned number in this field.
Many of our locations are unable to obtain insurance for under 21 year old drivers who are therefore required, prior to the start of the rental, to present an original Insurance Certificate of Currency - not a cover note - that indemnifies the replacement value of Budget's vehicle and third party property damage up to $20 million for any one occurrence. The certificate must be issued by a reputable insurer (as opposed to a broker) and is accepted at the discretion of the prospective location with which arrangements should be made directly. A credit card when collecting the vehicle. The credit card holder needs to be present when the vehicle is collected. If your Fastbreak or Corporate Account has a charge back facility, such as Direct Pin, ACTO or OTTO, this does not apply to you.
When you collect your vehicle a pre-authorisation will be made on your credit card for the estimated value of the rental and any applicable security bond. Provided the vehicle is returned undamaged and no additional charges apply (e.g. fuel), the pre-authorisation is cancelled.
During peak periods, some vehicles will require a non-refundable deposit in order to secure a booking. You may be contacted directly by the rental location to arrange a deposit.

Debit Card Policy
Budget accepts any debit card for the payment of a vehicle rental which:
- is issued by a bank or other financial institution; and
- displays the MasterCard or Visa logo; and
- has the customer's name and card number on the card.
At commencement of rental, Budget does not accept a prepaid or reloadable 'stored value' card, a travel money card or an EFTPOS card. A credit or debit card as outlined above must be presented at commencement of rental. Upon completion of rental, some Budget locations will accept a prepaid or reloadable ‘stored value’ card as a form of payment.
At the start of your rental a hold will be placed on your account for total rental charges plus an additional pre-authorisation of $400. Charges will be processed after completion of the rental and if applicable the unused portion of the authorisation will be released to you. Depending on your bank, this may take up to 10 business days. Budget will not be held responsible for any overdraft fees based on this policy.
To rent a vehicle you must present a valid unrestricted Drivers Licence (i.e. not a probationary Licence) that you have held for a minimum of 12 months. The Licence must include a photo of yourself and be written in English. If the Licence is not in English you must carry an English Translation or an International Driving Permit.
LDW/CDW is included in most rates. LDW/CDW reduces customer liability from the full-value of the vehicle to a nominated excess. Excess Reduction (ER) can be purchased at the rental counter to reduce excess. Coverage conditions may vary by rate code. Customer may inquire for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance at the time of rental. Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental. Please Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Budget rental desk when you collect your vehicle.
Please note that even if you pay the Excess Reduction, you are always responsible for the full costs of repairing any overhead damage, apart from hail damage (for example, damage which occurs if you drive the vehicle into a bridge, a tunnel, a tree or the roof or boom gate of a car park); underbody damage (for example, damage to the exhaust systems, suspension and chassis caused by carelessly driving over gutters or kerbs or driving along poor quality roads at excessive speeds); water damage; or damage caused by breach of the rental agreement.

Budget holds your request with your reservation however cannot guarantee availability until rental pickup.

Area of Use Restrictions
Restrictions may apply if you intend to take the vehicle outside the local area in which it is being collected. If you intend to do so, you must contact the pick up location prior to the rental for advice on availability or restrictions that may apply for this rental. In Western Australia and the Northern Territory the use of vehicles in certain areas is restricted to commercial 4WD vehicles only, please contact your rental location for more information. Vehicles are not to be taken off the Mainland of Australia unless connected by bridge (for example, travel between Melbourne and Devonport is prohibited).
During the ski season, vehicles may not be taken above the snowline (unless advised otherwise). Please contact your selected branch for further information. Local driving conditions and restrictions vary between locations. We suggest you contact the pick up location for advice if you intend travelling outside the local area.

In Australia, GST, Administration Fee, Airport Concession Recovery Fees or Premium Location Surcharges apply to optional coverage's, one way fees and any other miscellaneous charges (e.g. re-fuelling charges or late return fees). Any additional miscellaneous charges will incur these additional fees and taxes. Airport Concession Recovery fees or Premium Location Surcharges are charged at most Major Airport Locations.
Electronic Tolling Program
Budget rental vehicles are now registered on the RMS e-toll system so that tolls incurred by you when using a Budget vehicle on any Australian toll road can be recorded and billed to you by the RMS in an efficient manner. Currently, these toll roads are on the eastern seaboard of Australia (including the toll roads in the metropolitan areas of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane).
The NSW Roads and Maritime Services Service Fee payable by you for each calendar day that you use a toll road is $3.30 (if paying other than by cash) or $5.00 (if paying by cash) in addition to the toll charges. For full details, please view the complete Terms & Conditions of Rental.
